Classes at Ma3had Al-Bu3ooth

This page provides information on classes offered at the Ma3had Al-Bu3ooth Al-Islaamiyyah for students in the Al-Azhar system.

Third Year of High School

The curriculum for the third year of high school can be downloaded here.

The following is a typical schedule for a student in the third year of high school in the Azhari system.  Each class is 40-45 minutes long.

The fiqh class also includes inheritance law (meeraath), although there is a separate book for inheritance.

There are thirteen textbooks for the third year, one for each subject above other than inshaa' and Qur'an as well as an addition for inheritance law.

The following are a list of written exams that are taken at the end of the year:

3. Adab (Mutaala3ah is included)
4. Nahu
5. Balaagha
6. Sarf
7. Inshaa' (essentially a writing exam)
8. Qur'an (writing ayahs from memory)
9. Tajweed
10. Tafseer
11. Hadith
12. Tawheed
13. Fiqh (including meeraath)

History - From Al-Fasl Al-3aashi to the end of the book (p. 153-250).

Geography - From Al-Fasl Al-Thaani to Al-Fasl Al-Thaamin (p. 31-163).

Adab / Mutaala3ah - unknown

Nahu - The entire book other than the following sections (musalsalaat): 66 - 74, 80 (the part on أصوات is not muqarrar, the part on أفعال is), 109 - 118.

Balaagha - The entire book other than the following sections: mabhath al-jaami3 (p. 82-88), muhsinaat al-wasl (p. 89-96), and the subsection al-takreer under al-itnaab (p. 116-117).

Sarf - unknown

Qur'an - Memorization of Surah Al-3nkaboot to Surah Al-Faatir for both the oral and written exams.

Tajweed - From Baab Al-Waqf wa Al-Ibtidaa' to the end of the book (p. 133-176).

Tafseer - The entire tafseer book (Surah Muhammad to Surah Qaaf).

Hadith - The first 60 hadith for the written exam, and the following 15 for memorization for the oral exam: 2, 7, 12, 16, 18, 25, 31, 33, 35, 41, 43, 49, 51, 55, 59.

Tawheed - unknown
